Scheduling Questions

How far in advance should I schedule my session?

The best way to schedule a session is to check with the photographer as far in advance as possible about available dates and times. Those who book first have priority at dates and times. If you want a session during the busy summer and fall months you should schedule at least a couple of months in advance because these times book up quickly.

How far into my pregnancy should I schedule the maternity pictures?

The best time to take maternity photographs varies based on the individual. In general a good range to schedule is week 29 through 35. This is the time where you will be clearly showing making for gorgeous maternity photographs. Another thing to keep in mind when planning your maternity photographs is to not wait too long. Late in your third trimester you could start to feel uncomfortable getting photographs taken, the baby could arrive early, or there could be weather cancellations that you are unable to reschedule making it too late to get photographs taken.

When should newborn pictures be taken?

Newborn photographs are usually taken within the first 10 days after birth. This is the time when the baby will be sleepy and flexible allowing the photographer to capture those adorable newborn poses. Althoug newborn photographs are best taken within that time period you can have your baby photographed at any point in time even if it isn't within the first 10 days. When you decide to have your baby's photographs taken just contact Gally Photography with the due date to schedule your session.

How far in advance should a wedding be scheduled?

You can book your wedding up to a year in advance. Keep in mind that the summer and fall months of wedding season get booked very quickly so the sooner you inquire about your date the better the chance your date will be available. You can inquire as far in advance as you would like and be put on a priority list for year before booking.

Do you travel for weddings or can I book a destination wedding?

If you live in a different city, state or country Gally Photography can still photograph your wedding. Gally Photography is also available for destination weddings. If you want to book a wedding under either of these conditions please contact with details and location for pricing.

Do I get any discounts for scheduling multiple sessions at once?

Currently the only discounts for scheduling multiple sessions is the Baby’s First Year Packages. These include a mixture of: maternity, newborn, 3 month, 6 month, 9 month, and one year sessions.

What happens if we need to reschedule a session?

Although it is best if you pick a session date and time and stick with it there is always the chance that something will happen that makes that impossible. If you find yourself in the situation where you need to reschedule contact Allyson immediately at 260.341.5145 and let her know what is happening. She will work with you to fit you in on another date and time. If for some reason you need to cancel and cannot reschedule your retainer is non-refundable.

What happens if our wedding date is changed?

If you have booked a wedding date, paid the deposit and your wedding date changes for some reason you need to contact Gally Photography right away. If the new wedding date is still available you will need to sign a new contract for the new date. The previous retainer will then be transferred to the new date and contract. If the new wedding date is not available Gally Photography will refer you to other photographers that might still be available but your deposit is non-refundable.



Pricing Questions

Is there a retainer required to book a session?

A retainer of $75 is due within 7 days of booking for all non-wedding sessions with the remainer of the session fee due at first session. There is a 25% deposit due for wedding photography. Your session date and time is not held until the retainer is paid. This retainer is non-refundable.

What is included in the price?

Each package that Gally Photography offers includes the time and talent of the photographer and an in person ordering session. Other than that each package is different. All products are sold separately.

Are taxes included in the package prices?

Taxes are not included in the package pricing. All Indiana weddings will have to pay 7% on top of their package fee and product prices. All regular sessions will not be charged tax; only the flat package fee. However all products purchased from sessions will have the state tax rate added onto the total.

Is a CD of the images included in the price?

Digital files do not come with regular sessions but they do come with most weddings.

When is full payment for my session due?

Full payment for all sessions (the balance after the retainer) is due at first session. Full payment for a wedding (the balance after the retainer) is due by the date stated on the contract.

How do you take payments?

Gally photography accepts cash, check, PayPal, or credit card.

Who do we make the check out to?

You can make the check out to Gally Photography.

Do you offer referral discounts?

Yes! Referrals are greatly appreciated and anyone who refers a new client will receive a $50 gift card that will go towards their next session or product purchase. There is no limit to how many referral gift cards you can earn.

Is there a minimum print purchase required?

There is no minimum print purchase required.



Session Questions

How long do most sessions last?

Most sessions last about 1 hour. Newborn sessions take significantly longer ranging from 2-4 hours.

How many people can come to a family session?

Family session pricing includes immediate family and extended family. In the case where it is an extended family session all of the people who will be ordering pictures need to be present at the in person ordering session.

What happens if the weather is bad during our scheduled session?

Allyson will be in contact with you before your session if the weather is questionable and will continue to keep you updated the day of. If the weather is not letting up she will discuss rescheduling with you and try to find a date and time that will work.



General Questions

How long will it take to receive our images after the session?

At the time of the session you will schedule a meeting time where you can look through the final images, look at products and order. This meeting is made based on availability of Gally Photography and the Client. The time can vary from one week to one month.

Do we get an online gallery to order prints from?

After your initial in person ordering session with Gally Photography you will be given a password to your online gallery which you can share with all of your family and friends who want to buy prints for themselves.

We already got engagement photographs taken; can it be removed from the wedding package?

Engagement sessions are very important because it is a time for the photographer and couple to get to know each other. If the first time you meet is on your wedding day it will be not be as comfortable and the photographer will not know what poses you are comfortable with. Because of how important the engagement session is it is not removable and you cannot swap it for anything else.

Do you shoot any other types of sessions?

Gally Photography shoots all types of sessions including the ones listed on the pricing page and others such as modeling headshots, Bar Mitzvahs, Quinceañeras, corporate headshots, fashion, commercial and more. If you have an event, commercial project or any other photography need contact with specific details for personalized pricing.

Do you offer any design services?

Gally Photography does offer some design services. If you are interested in save the dates, birth announcements, graduation announcements or invitations to an event Gally Photography will custom design those and get them printed for you. Contact for pricing.

What other services do you offer?

Gally Photography does offer other services including scanning of film or slides into digital files. This is a great way to digitize your family history for the future generations.
